Kinect is used as a holographic 3D video conferencing and can also see the anatomy of the patient's body.

Ontario Queen's University is part of the Kingston team, they designed a tool called Telepod, which could replace the video chat is already old and ancient.

video chat with these 3D hologram consisting of cylinder 1.8 meters tall with six Microsoft Kinect cameras placed above, and also a 3D projectors in them. every one can stand in front of our own Telepod and telepod was able to track our movements in three-dimensional-holographic image results and projected in 3D to see the back and side of the people we want to go and we can see straight friend, husband, children and those we love directly and clearly.
even for any medical has developed we can see the position of the patient from multiple angles and in addition we can also see some of our own Anatomy, patient and perhaps we can can learn the operation from a distance later. ..
